Personal and Fun Facts about Brenita:
Brenita is a mother, and her younger brother is her shadow literally. Outside of lab and family, Brenita enjoys playing Fortnite and watching a new dark anime series. Her goal and desire is to re-enter the Molecular, Cellular, and Integrative Biosciences program here at Penn State to earn her PhD degree that was halted when her mother became ill in 2015.

Julia is a recent Penn State Eberly College of Science graduate and is the current CABBI Research Technician for the McReynolds Lab. During her time at Penn State, she was a member of the Dr. Claire Thomas Lab researching F-actin crosslinking proteins called 'Spectrins,' and helping the lab locate an epitope on the alpha-spectrin subunit. In the McReynolds Lab, Julia works on CABBI-related projects to assist with research efforts focused on biofuel/bioenergy.

Julia enjoys playing/watching hockey, playing Pokémon on her Nintendo Switch, and cooking. She also loves to play peek-a-boo and fetch with her crazy orange cat, Otto.
